Pre-Loading Vehicles is the Way to Go!
Pre-Loading Cars is the Way to Go!
Wixom, MI, July 2008 - With gas prices on the rise, people are looking for more fuel efficient vehicles. According to USA Today, “Automakers are working as fast as they can to meet a new consumer landscape: Buyers want not just fuel-efficient cars but also the same amenities they had in their hulking SUVs.”
Inalfa Sunroofs is encouraging our customers to pre-load vehicles with sunroofs, leather, video, among other amenities. According to the New York Times, “Many dealers, having realized that small-car shoppers are willing to buy higher trim levels and optional features, are stocking their lots with more upgraded vehicles.” Car buyers want to spend money, but are frustrated when they walk the lots and vehicles do not have all the amenities.

Inalfa Depletes its Stock of the 800 Sunix Inbuilt
Wixom, MI - June 20, 2008. Inalfa Sunroofs’ supply of the Sunix 800 Inbuilt has been depleted. Inalfa had announced last October that it was ceasing importing the Sunix unit, and the intervening eight months have provided ample time for restylers to adjust their purchasing decisions. Inalfa Sunroofs will continue to stock all service parts for the Sunix unit, and the factory warranty program on the Sunix unit continues to be supported.
Restylers looking for something comparably priced and with state-of-the art technology should seriously consider the Inalfa 770 Inbuilt. The user-friendly Inalfa 770 Inbuilt uses OE Technology and is the quietest and most trouble-free unit offered in the aftermarket. The Inalfa 770 Inbuilt line includes standard feature units, full feature units, and a full feature sport unit ideal for compact and sport cars. With the industry quickly switching from larger cars, trucks and SUVs and to smaller fuel efficient cars, the Inalfa 770 Inbuilt is a perfect solution. Because the glass panel has been designed especially for more compact vehicles, the unit measures the same side to side and 2 inches less front to back than the Sunix unit. The Inalfa 770 Inbuilt is absolutely right for the changing market place.
Restylers are also encouraged to consider the Inalfa 840 Inbuilt product which has a glass size comparable to the Sunix unit. The Inalfa 840 Inbuilt glass size is the same front-to-back, and 1 ½ inches wider than the Sunix unit. The Inalfa 840 Inbuilt is the most popular aftermarket sunroof Inalfa features because of its wide applicability and superior quality.

Inalfa Discontinues 1600 Panoramic Sunroof
Effective immediately, Inalfa Sunroofs is discontinuing offering and is removing the Model 1600 Panoramic Sunroof from its product line. Inalfa Sunroofs has for the last two years offered an aftermarket version of this OE base unit, and it has been well received by the market. Inalfa Sunroofs purchases the base Panoramic unit from a European supplier, then modifies the unit for aftermarket usage. Inalfa’s European supplier has dramatically increased its selling price for the unit, and the increasingly unfavorable European exchange rate has added additional costs to the unit. Inalfa Sunroofs is not able to offer this product at a price to our restyler community that would allow its restylers to purchase the product and realize any reasonable margin upon their subsequent installation and resale to their customers. Consequently, we have determined that offering this unit is no longer economically feasible, and the unit is no longer available.
Inalfa Sunroofs will continue to honor warranty claims during the published warranty period.

Inalfa Announces Changes to Credit Card Acceptance
Inalfa Announces Changes to Credit Card Acceptance
February 29, 2008, Wixom, MI
Inalfa Sunroofs today announced that effective May 1, 2008 it is modifying its credit cards acceptance policies governing payments for merchandise. The following policies will be in effect for all purchases made on and after May 1, 2008:
· American Express will no longer be accepted as a credit card. Visa and Master Card will continue to be accepted.
· Visa and Master Card will be accepted as an allowed payment form only if the payment transaction is made within established credit terms. Payment by credit card will not be accepted after the expiration of a customer’s established credit terms (days and dollar limits).
The decision to discontinue accepting the American Express card as an allowed payment form results from the growing merchant rate difference between the American Express card and Visa and Master Card. We have been informed that because the American Express card is typically rich with perks and reward programs, the costs of such programs are effectively absorbed by accepting merchants through higher merchant fees.
The decision to accept Visa and Master Card usage only within terms results from an increasing tendency of certain customers to pay for merchandise well beyond established terms. This practice results in an effective doubling of financing charges to Inalfa – one charge for borrowing operating funds during the period beyond terms, then a second charge when the credit card is accepted as payment of the outstanding balance. Inalfa has determined that such charges unacceptably erode its gross profit margin and such double charges cannot be absorbed going forward.
Inalfa understands that these policy changes may temporarily inconvenience certain customers, but in the interest of fiscal responsibility, it must make these policy changes to remain competitive in the marketplace.
